Authentication & User Management
Hefty supports two modes of operation: single-user mode (auto-login, no credentials) and multi-user mode (username/password authentication with role-based access control). The user icon in the header indicates the current authentication state — see the User Icon Status section for what each color means.
Single-User Mode
In single-user mode, Hefty auto-logs in on first connection with no username or password required. The user automatically receives the admin role with full system access. The Auth popup shows a simple Login button, and no logout option is available in this mode.
