Platform Sync
Hefty supports syncing knowledge items with the Hefty Bot Platform, enabling cloud backup and sharing of knowledge across instances. Uploaded items are stored in the cloud and can be accessed from other Hefty instances connected to the same platform account.
- Upload — knowledge items can be uploaded individually from the detail view or in bulk from edit mode (select multiple items → Upload to Platform). This creates a cloud backup that any connected Hefty instance can pull from.
- Download — the download action in the Knowledge Dialog allows importing knowledge items from the platform into the local knowledge base. Items can be imported by type or by specific IDs, giving you flexibility over what gets pulled in.
- Prerequisite — platform sync requires a Platform API key configured during onboarding or in the agent profile settings. Without a valid key, upload and download features are unavailable, and the Wi-Fi indicator in the Knowledge Dialog header will show a disconnected status.
